Our goal is to provide equal access to justice for those who cannot afford to pay an attorney. We partner with local lawyers who donate their time and expertise to help in civil areas such as: Domestic Violence Family Law Foreclosure Guardianship Landlord/Tenant Senior Wills Medical Legal Program Other Legal Services Legal Aid of Manasota also works with community groups and social service agencies to provide up-to-date information about legal issues affecting low income residents. Each month we hold free community education classes such as the Pro Se Divorce Clinic , where participants are taught how to represent themselves in a divorce action and Foreclosure Defense/Attorney Consultations where you can meet one on one with an attorney to discuss solutions on how you can save your home. Legal Aid of Manasota supports local non-profit organizations through the Community Counsel Project , where Pro Bono (free) legal assistance is provided to eligible agencies.
